PLEASE NOTE- The most important aspect of setting up off grid supply is to start with a higher voltage inverter, for most the money spent is in batterys to supply power to the inverter. Eg a 48Volt Dc input inverter say running an appliance that draws 5amps, will draw 25amps from the battery supply, compared to a 12volt inverter sytem connected to the same appliance, will draw 100amps from the batterys thus you will require 4 times as many batterys to run a 12Volt system compared to a 48Volt system. You will also have more current and voltage being rectified by 12Volt system so they are more prone to failure.
his unit is excellent for all off grid situations where power is required. Having an in-built 4 stage fully automatic battery charger there is no need to have change over switches etc to charge battery's, eg if using with generator, all you have to do is plug in 240volt lead to the inverter it will then automatically charge the battery's to required state, while supplying 240volt power to your house etc from generator. When the inverter detects a loss of 240volt supply it will then automatically convert 48Volts Dc to 240volts Ac Using the DC batteries.

This unit is also excellent for setting up a fully automated of grid supply without the need to start generators or switch power etc. All that in required is a low voltage relay to be connected to the battery side of inverter, when relay detects low voltage it can auto start a generator with ATS function thus supplying power through this inverter which in turn, charges the battery's while supplying 240v Ac to residence, when generator stops inverter will automatically detect loss of power and revert back to inverter mode

Where you will find cheaper pure sine wave inverters do not have any transformers and do full power conversions with electronics & the use of heat sinks.

Summary Of Operation-
At the instance of input mains failure, the power transfer system of the inverter automatically engages, supplying power to the connected load in less than 15ms. This process is reversed if if the mains is restored, being it generator power or from the grid. the inverter then automatically starts charging the batteries if required
